Review: Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation

I have been a fan of Revlon foundations for many years now!! When I was younger I tried various foundations from Covergirl and Maybelline which I absolutely hated. Maybelline foundations make me break out horribly and I could never find a good colour match in Covergirl since all of their foundations leaned a bit more on the pinky side. I remember I used to use the Revlon foundation which you could turn to mix different shades together which I loved for years since I didn't have to worry about matching my colour. After I got more into makeup I tried both the Revlon Colourstay and Revlon Photoready foundations which are both awesome in my opinion. I have used Revlon Photoready for a long time I think I am on my fourth bottle now so when Revlon came out with the Nearly Naked Foundation I was really excited to try it. I didn't buy it immediately since I had just bought a new bottle of Photoready foundation (of course that would happen right) but a couple of weeks ago I was in Shoppers Drugmart and they had both the foundation and pressed powder together as a deal for about fifteen dollars. I had been hunting for a new powder after I realized the one I had been using for about five months was causing a lot of my breakouts and clogged pores, I am definitely planning on doing a massive powder review post on all of the ones I have. So I couldn't resist getting the deal and I am doing the review on the foundation first before the powder since I have used it more.

I really love this foundation it has great coverage which is always something I need since I have a bunch of redness from old acne marks. I would say it is about medium coverage, it definitely offers as much as the Photoready foundation which is one of the things I loved about it but not as much as Colourstay. I don't find the consistency to be really watery although I read alot of reviews before I bought it from people saying that they did, I actually think it is a bit thicker than Revlon Photoready and it doesn't run down my hand before I get a chance to apply. To put it on I just use one of my Elf flat top powder brushes which are awesome for applying on foundation. So far it hasn't broke me out and I have used it for over a couples weeks now which is good sign!! Overall I would definitely recommend it since it is one of the best bargains in the drugstore for foundation at only $10 and offers pretty damn good coverage, it just makes my skin look awesome. The colour selection is very warm/yellow toned which is the only draw back if you are more on the cool toned side. If anyone else has used it tell me what you thought and I hope you all have a great week!!

Physicians Formula Shimmer Booster Bronzer, Physicians Formula Gel Eyeliner, Beauty Treats BB Cream: Vanilla, Wet N Wild Greed Palette, Jordana Single Eyeshadow: Heart of Gold, Wet N Wild Matte Lipstick: Pinkerbell, Mauve Outta Here, Nyx Round Lipstick: Chic, Tea Rose, Jordana Great Lash Mascara, L.A Colours Jumbo Eye Pencil

Hey everybody!!! I took these photos of some makeup I had purchased a couple of weeks ago but I had never gotten around to uploading them yet. Most of this is from a Beauty Joint order and the Physicians Formula stuff I got off of Well.ca since they had there products majorly on sale, that brand in Canada is just ridiculously expensive like twenty dollars for a bronzer!

Physicians Formula Shimmer Booster Bronzer, Physicians Formula Gel Eyeliner

I had used up my last gel eyeliner so these intrigued me since you get three different colours in one package, they all stack together which is kind of a interesting marketing scheme. After using these for a couple of weeks I don't know if I would repurchase them. The blue colour is gorgeous but it takes a couple of coats to get a deep colour and I don't find the black to be super black. Its ok for day time but I definitely prefer my Essence gel eyeliner I had before which was amazing. Now the bronzer was my fault I ordered the wrong one so when I got this weird little container that has a brush attached to the top I was quite annoyed with myself. The actual bronzer is great to contour with though, it is super pigmented and isn't ridiculously sparkly on the face although it looks that way in the pan.

All four of these lipsticks are awesome and very pigmented. I plan on doing a couple of lipstick brand posts like Nyx, Wet n Wild and Revlon and swatch everything on my lips to see the actual colours!!

I dont think I would recommend this palette either now that I have used it a couple of times. I know these are discontinued but you can still get the six pan Wet N Wild Palettes online. I have the Vanity palette and its awesome so this definitely disappointed me. I bought this mainly for the matte side since I didn't have a non shimmery pink shade. All three of the matte shades are super pigmented but the pink/peach comes out a bit weird on my skin ton and I kind of think it looks like it gives me pink eye which is so NOT cute. The shimmery side was pretty disappointed since the top two colours have almost no colour payoff and only the bottom black one is decent. I can definitely use a couple of the shades it but I wouldn't buy it again if I had the chance.

Jordana Single Eyeshadow: Heart of Gold

I hadn't tried any Jordana eyeshadows before but this definitely sold me on them. I think I payed about $2 for this single gold shade and its awesome, I think I will definitely pick up some more next time I order makeup online.

Jordana Great Lash Mascara (top), L.A Colours Jumbo Eye Pencil

I havent had a chance to try out either of these products yet!! I have been trying to use up the many mascaras I have on the go before I open up the Jordana one but I am very excited to try it out. After St. Pattys day I have been really into green and this eye pencil looks like it will be such a gorgeous base for a smokey eye look. At the moment I am in the library taking a break from studying for finals!! I have two tomorrow so wish me luck and I hope everyone has a good day :).

Hello everyone!!! Now thats its got a bit warmer out and I found a place to take photos outside I have been SO much more motivated to take outfit photos and just blog in general. This is a picture of what I wore most days during fall/winter. I got this coat back in October and it has been one of favourites since then. I am pretty sure I got it for about $20 off or something like that, I just love the brown camel colour it is. My sister gave me this scarf for christmas and I have worn it almost constantly since then, I absolutely love animal print. Classes are completely done now and I have a entire week off before my exams start so my plan is to study and take lots of blog photos the next few days. I hope you all had a good weekend!!

Review: Wet N WIld Comfort Zone Eye Shadow Palette

Let Your Heart Hold Fast by Fort Atlantic on Grooveshark

Wet N Wild Comfort Zone Palette: $5

Ohmygoodness I am so in love with this palette right now, it is definitely my favourite makeup item at the moment. The colours are beautiful (they look the exact same on the lid as they do in pan!!), very pigmented  and blend super well together. They last all day without creasing when I wear a primer underneath (just the elf $1 primer). I went home for easter weekend and I only brought this palette with me for the whole weekend which was shocking since I always pack way way too many clothes and makeup for short periods of time, what can I say I like having choices!! But I used this for both day time looks at my easter celebrations and going out at night to a dance. I love the right side of the palette the best along with the top left brow-bone colour which I think is a bit to dark for a highlight shade but is a amazing lid colour. The only two colours I cant really see myself using to much are the second and fourth colours on the left side. I think I am going to google tutorials using that side of the palette in order to try something a little different. Anyways I would definitely recommend it to anyone who since the price and quality is great, I am such a huge Wet N Wild fan!! Tomorrow I have my last two classes of first year at university and then there are just exams. I cannot believe how fast this year went it's crazy!!! I hope everyone is having a great week :).
