Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss: Bordeaux

Upward Over The Mountain by Iron & Wine on Grooveshark

 photo IMG_1639-001_zps50b41d35.jpg

Hello everyone!!!!!!! No matter how hard I try I never seem to blog as much as I would like!!! The past two weeks have been really busy I went home for  reading week and then I had to catch up on assignments that were due, so not fun. Over break I dragged my boyfriend to Zellers which is kindof like a Canadian Walmart, anyways all of the stores are closing and being switched over to Targets so they have massive clearance sales and I picked up some really nice things half off. The makeup section was a total disaster but I rummaged around and found this gorgeous Revlon Colourburst lipgloss which is generally about $10 so I got it for $5.

I am generally a strict pink/nude lipgloss or lipstick girl so I thought I would break out of my comfort zone and try this baby out. Its such a pretty deep burgundy colour and in person it has tiny gold sparkles in it although you cant really see those once it is applied. I really like the applicator since it is flat on both sides which made applying it easy, so good job Revlon!!

 photo IMG_1643-001_zpsc20e366c.jpg

I have heard these lip glosses have good staying power but I haven't worn this for more than a couple of hours so I cant vouch for that yet. I think this would be a really good lip colour to wear out at night since its pretty dark for everyday use, so I will definitely wear it next time I go out. Overall I don't think I personally would pay over ten bucks for a lip gloss even if it is pretty. That just seems like alot to me but I am pretty cheap, if I see these on sale I would definitely buy some more in lighter colours. Also I dyed my hair a bit lighter which you can see in the below photo so I might do a post on the kit I used. I know I haven't been doing very many outfit posts but I just have not been motivated lately so hopefully since its getting warmer out I will start wearing something besides yoga pants to class!!! Have a great day everyone :).

Review: Hard Candy Glamoflage Concealer

I love It by Icona Pop on Grooveshark

Hard Candy Glamoflage Concealer: Walmart $6-7

I bought this concealer a few weeks ago and I really really wanted to do a review on it right away but I decided to wait a little while to see if it broke me out at all. This concealer is amazingggggggg, not gonna lie it has the best coverage of any concealer I have ever tried before. I haven't always been into makeup but I have had various concealers since I was twelve. Throughout the years I have tried countless of kinds and brands but this is definitely the best one I have found yet!!

You seriously only need a tiny amount of this concealer or you will get to much product. A small bit goes a long way which is hard to get used to at first. Generally I need a lot of concealer to cover dark circles or redness but a tiny bit of this does the trick.

Lightly blended out on my arm

This is definitely the thickest concealer I have ever used, so I don't use it by itself under my eyes. I often mix it with one of my other sheer concealers so its creamier and so I don't have to tug at the skin underneath my eyes as much, no one wants premature wrinkles!!! There are five different shades available and I got mine in ultra light. This is a little light for me when i put it on my face but it completely blends in once I put a powder over top. For the summer I will definitely have to purchase the light or light/medium shade once I get a little darker.  For the price, quantity and quality of the product I would definitely recommend it to anyone!! Have a great day everyone :).

Review: Wet N Wild Colour Icon Blushes

Chocolate by The 1975 on Grooveshark
 photo IMG_1593-001_zps460b04b7.jpg

Berry Shimmer (shimmery red tinged blush), Heather Silk (matte deep pink) and Mellow Wine (slight shimmer pink/brown)

First off I am going to start by saying these blushes are freaking amazing!!!! Before I bought these I had owned a few drugstore blushes from various companies; Maybelline, Covergirl, Essence etc and they were all pretty sub par. I have a Maybelline Fit Me blush and you can scrub your finger in it and still not get any colour pay off. But these Wet N Wild blushes are CRAZYYYY pigmented, you can lightly dab your brush in them and you will get so much on it!!. They are also super cheap, about three or four dollars at Wall-Mart so they are definitely worth your money for the quality of product you get. I can see these lasting forever as well, I often use Mellow Wine as my daily blush and you cant even see a dent in it. The only problem is these babies are pretty hard to find in stores but maybe thats just here in Canada. I got Mellow Wine and Heather Silk online from Beautyjoint when I placed a order about a month ago. I would highly recommend them to anyone if you see them definitely snap them up and you wont be disappointed!! Have a great day everyone :).

When It Gets Loud I Turn It Up

 photo IMG_1560_zpsa38d3c7f.jpg

Sweater: Forever 21: $11, Leggings: Suzy Shier $10, Booties: Spring $31, Necklace: Forever 21 $6

Bahhhhh I am totally totally stuck in a style rut and I have this lacklustre outfit post to show for it. Not gonna lie this is like my comfy staple outfit for the winter, a longish sweater over leggings with some kindof boot, although I think this sweater shrunk a bit in the wash because it totally used to be longer. I think this outfit matches my mood today since I am just feeling tired and a bit lost. I am nearing the end of my first year at university and I just don't find any of my courses interesting or think they are job related to anything I would enjoy. Ugh need to figure out that stuff soon :(:(. Anyways I bought this sweater during the christmas break when Forever 21 had 50% off of there sale items so it was super cheap!!! I love these booties, although my boyfriend insists on calling them my robin hood shoes which makes me laugh and shake my head at him, boys... only a few actually get fashion!! They have a tiny little heel which I don't mind although I am 5'9 and don't feel like I need to much extra height. Other news I bought a new concealer which I am totally in love with so far so there will be a review up on that soon, I am waiting to see if it breaks me out of not before I blog about it. Have a great day everyone and thanks again for all of your lovely comments :).

Sweater: Value Village $7, Tank Top: Forever 21 $5, Pants: Value Village $13, Boots: Value Village $20, Bag: Forever 21 $12, Belt: Thrift $2

Hello everyone!!! I am definitely representing Value Village well in this outfit since pretty much everything is from there. These jeans have been my favourite for a long time, I was so thrilled when i found them because they were Amani Exchange and $13 which is CRAZY!! I am a sucker for a good bargain and I am quite proud of these babies. I know my last few outfit posts haven't been super fashiony, its been -18 degrees here and i definitely been dressing with that in mind!! I do need to get some pants that aren't jeans because I think I am in a bit of a style rut.

Eyelashes: Elf Studio Mascara Primer, Covergirl Lashblast, Maybelline Falsies Mascara

I have the almost non existent eye lashes when I don't wear mascara, you can't see them whatsoever. I always thought I was weird because I layered different mascaras together until I started watching youtube videos and a ton of beauty of gurus do the same thing. These three are the mascara combo I have been using daily for about a month now to make my stubby little lashes look nice and volumized!! If anyone has a great mascara they use definitely tell me about it, I love trying new ones!!  Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments I have been finding amazing new blogs to read through them and I hope you all have a great day!!

Review: Elf Studio Mascara Primer (New Holy Grail Product!!)

World on Fire by The Royal Concept on Grooveshark
 photo IMG_1469_zps98d9b918.jpg

Hello everyone!!!!!! I am having the laziest day ever, as i am typing this its almost four o clock and i am still sitting in my pjs. I think the most productive thing i have done today was shower and thats about it, i stayed out late last night and woke up super early not a good idea!!! I have been really busy the past little while, my boyfriend came up for a few days and i had some issues registering for a class, so i haven't gotten around to taking any outfit photos much to my disappointment!!!! I did want to post today so i decided to share my new holy grail eye product which i got a couple of weeks ago and that is my Elf Studio Mascara Primer. I placed a order with them over christmas and this probably my favourite thing i got along with my Elf Zit Zapper because that little thing really works!!

 photo IMG_1472_zps4022ee0d.jpg

I really really love this product, it separates my lashes really well and makes applying my mascara so much easier. I find that if i use it first, i can wear mascaras that i have and didn't really like before i paired them with the primer. I bought Covergirl's Lashblast mascara when i was home at a Zellers because it was closing so i got thirty percent off but it made my lashes so clumpy! But if i use this primer it applies so much easier then it did before and i can use try to use up the bloody thing. I went without the primer yesterday and i noticed a huge difference in my mascara so this is definitely a holy grail product for me. Sorry i didnt take any photos of it directly on my eyes but I am definitely wearing it in my last blog post picture and it makes my lashes look almost fake!!

 photo IMG_1473_zps8b3f0235.jpg

I might have just ordered two more for backup because i don't want to be without it. Its three dollars on the Elf website and for us Canadian girls if your order is under $25 its only about $6 in shipping which is pretty darn sweet!! I would definitely recommend the product based on my personal experience and the awesome price but if anyone has tried it let me know how it worked for you. I find some mascaras work really well for other people and then wont for me, i bought the Covergirl mascara because one friend of mine swore by it!!  Have a great weekend everyone!!

Review: NYX Pump It Up Lip Plumper

Blue Skies by Noah and the Whale on Grooveshark

NYX Pump It Up Lip Plumper in Kim

Woooooo first bonafide makeup post, i hope no one minds me adding this stuff into my blog it is seriously one of my obsessions now and i know i loveeeeee reading reviews on products or watching them on youtube. Over Christmas i went a little crazy and sent in two online makeup orders, one to ELF and another to Beauty Joint. I meant to take photos and do a haul once i got them but i was to excited and ripped open both packages immediately, so scratch that idea!! I ordered this NYX lip plumper from Beauty Joint along with quite a few other things, but i definitely wanted to try it out immediately after seeing some beauty gurus on youtube use it and i had never tried a lip plumper before. I actually really like this product although i don't think it plumps a whole lot but i can see a bit of a difference. On me it definitely tingles alot and reminds me of cinnamon so definitely don't try it if you don't like a bit of a burning sensation on your lips. The colour is soooooooo pretty, i wore it by itself in the photo down below and it is definitely my favourite lip product at the moment. It is really hard to find NYX products in Canada (such a shame!!!) but i think i definitely will get some more next time i order from Beauty Joint. Not going to lie it is weird taking photos of your makeup, its like wa-bam theres just your face but i remember i thought that when i first started taking fashion photos so i will probably get used to that!!! Have a great day everyone and thanks for your awesome comments :).
