Where I Have Been?!?!

Vest: Value Village $7, Shirt: Forever 21 $23, Jeans: Value Village: $12, Boots: Value Village $?? (i  bought them last year i think they were like between $12- 20 can remember!!)

Hello Everyone!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you all are having a great time over the holidays. Holy smokes i haven't updated my blog since August which is yikes, uh five months ago, this year has been a bit crazy but over winter break i have been working on my blog since i really want to get back into it. I made a little list to summarize a few things that happened since i last updated:

What I Have Been Up To
  • I moved three hours away from home into my very own apartment and started university at the ripe old age of twenty :)
  • Went to buy a new cellphone for school and met my now-boyfriend who sold the phone to me lol
  • Met lots and lots of new people and made some great friends at uni
  • My first apartment then got a leak in mid October and half the kitchen ceiling come apart making me homeless for more than a month
  • Had a wonderful friend who let me sleep on dorm floor for three weeks before i went home for two weeks
  • Half of my clothes got thrown out since they were ruined from my apartment (totally devastating!!)
  • Got really sick at the end of November and it turned out to be mono (sooooooooooooo not cool) still not feeling the best even now my sore throat keeps returning
  • Rediscovered my love for makeup tutorials on youtube and have developed a slight addiction to buying cosmetics now
  • Moved into my new apartment which i love immensely for many reasons, especially since it is right on the bus route :)
  • My grandpa died rather suddenly at the beginning of December :(:(
  • Barely survived midterms and finals last week but school is now done until January 7th so freakin excited
  • Been rewatching One Tree Hill and have gone through seasons 3,4 and am now on season 6
And that pretty much sums it all up!! I haven't been able to get photoshop on my new laptop so i edited these photos a little differently then i used to before, so bare with me i need to get that up and running. I found this vest in the back of my closet and i don't think i have ever worn it before. I remember buying it on a Value Village trip when everything was 50% off which was awesome  so it was about seven dollars. I wanted a fur vest for literally years but i always thought this one was a little short on me (ugh tall girl problems, eye roll) but i don't think it looks so bad now. The only problem with vests are they are to bulky to get under a winter coat but i think in March or April when it gets warmer i will wear it more, its definitely coming back to school with me. So since i went to uni my style has considerably gone down hill and i am embarrassed to admit there were a few times i wore jogging pants to early morning class, horrible i know lol. My style has changed considerably i wear jeans ALOT but i am hoping by getting back into blogging i will start to amp up the style factor a bit more, although i will always love my school hoodie. But I have realized one thing you definitely can make jeans/ pants look stylish which i never really thought before.

Photobucket

So over the last year or so i have progressively got more obsessed with makeup and now its like a full fledged addiction. I absolutely love watching makeup tutorials on youtube, not gonna lie i often get up, make breakfast and start watching them first thing in the morning. So i think i will start blogging about that as well and do hauls/ reviews of drugstore stuff since i know i definitely love to read that those. I tried out NYC Sunny Bronzer down below and i hated it when i first bought it but holy crap do i love it now, it just looked so awesome yesterday when i took these photos. I actually looked somewhat tan which is a miracle considering how pale i am in the winter. Have a great day everyone and a awesome New Years Eve!!!!

P.S I also changed my blog name a bit, i figured it was time for a change and i like it alot better :)

Blog Upodate + Birthday Dress

Photobucket
Hi Everyone!!!!! i hope you all are having a great summer i literally cannot believe it is august OHMYGOD where did the time go holy toledo. Since my last post was in june (JUNE!?!?!?)i thought i would do a bit of a update on my summer since i totally have dropped off the blogosphere completely!! I got a new job at a restaurant after my last one got shut down which was a bit of a adjustment. I just worked a Elvis festival, yes those do exist which involved some sixteen hour shifts woot woot lol so tiring but it wasn't bad money. The photos above were from my birthday celebration i turned twenty in July which is so unreal, i cannot believe i am out of my teens forever!!!! We went to a bar after getting ready at my house and i had such a good time, generally i have terrible birthdays so this was really fun :). I bought my dress from forever 21 and i think it was about thirty dollars which i think was such a good deal. Other than work i havent been up to very much just hanging out with friends and trying to get my courses finally over. I am hoping to get out to take photos really soon and i am debating about doing a video haul since i have been shopping a bit over the last few months!!!! I hope you all are having a good summer :)

Crop Top: Forever 21 $5, Skirt: Forever 21 $19, Shoes: Payless $14, Purse: Thrift $4, Necklace: Smart Set $4

Hello everyone!!!!!!!! I cant believe it has been a month since i have posted and even longer since i did any outfit pictures. I have really missed blogging and haven't read any of my favorite blogs or my email in months (soooooooo sorry about that!!) i just got super busy lately. I am playing women's softball which is so fun although i hadn't played baseball in a few years so i was totally rusty when we started. Also i am doing two online courses which i am trying to finish up right now and they are seriously taking ages to complete. I am finally going to university next year so i went up to visit the school last week for a few days to look around and apartment hunt (super excited about having my own place!!) so my plans for September are almost all set which is very hard to believe. Other news i did have two jobs, i worked one day at a golf course (I am the barbecue girl lol) and then i waitressed at a restaurant in town. But yesterday the restaurant was shut down while i was at work by the owner of the building over a lease disagreement so i think i am now jobless...again!!!!! The whole thing is just terrible so everyone cross your fingers something gets worked out because i really loved the people i worked with and i seriously don't want to start looking for another job now, this is just my horrible luck. Sorry about my little rant there anyways i have gotten really addicted to shopping on the Forever 21 website, everything just looks so awesome and the sale section is amazing (cute stuff + super cheap prices = uh awesome!!) so i have sent in a few orders lately. I just love this skirt the colour is amazing, i am really into the high low hemlines at the moment. I found this necklace on sale for four dollars which was such a great bargain since it previously was eighteen. I wasn't to sold on the collar/bib necklaces until i saw a girl wear one on youtube so i was really happy to find this one. I got my little suede fringe purse at Value Village and to my friends amusement we found out it was actually a child's purse when we looked at the brand inside. They teased me about that a little but i still think it is super cute so  i bought it anyways. I totally didn't wear any eye makeup in these photos so if i look a little scarier than usual that is definitely my excuse :). Have a great day everyone!!

Summer Inspiration

On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons on Grooveshark Photobucket

Ohhhhhhhhhhh blog how i miss you!!!!!!! First off how awesome is my post song i always want to dance around to it (sometimes that does happen in my room). I am so ridiculously behind on outfit posts, i have been shopping quite a bit and literally have TONS of new things i cant wait to show everyone. I am a bit overwhelmed by school stuff and work which hasn't really worked out like i had hoped it is all a bit stressful, i just need to get through May that is what i keep telling myself!! Other news i have gotten addicted to makeup how to's on youtube (totally love these ones here, here, and here) and hair tutorials, some girls have amazing hair. These are some summer inspiration pictures, i am super into lace and crochet, i just bought two crochet tops at Marshalls which i cant wait to wear. I love looking at festivel style pictures and thatis where i found most of these. I am so excited in July I am going to Hillside which is music festival in Guelph, Ontario and i cant wait to see some of the bands playing there!!! I don't know when i cant get out to take photos but hopefully it will be soon i hate not updating :(. Have a great day everyone!!

Fall In by Cloud Nothings on Grooveshark

Photobucket

Shirt: Value Village $6, Shorts: Thrift $.50, Tights: Joe Fresh $6, Purse: Wild Rose, Boots: Spring $13

Super simple outfit, i dunno if it is really blog worthy but it is a good casual outfit that i wear when i am feeling lazy like today :). I love this shirt it is big and i can wear leggings with it, the only problem is it is made of this silk material which is really staticy. Does anyone know how to get of that like a certain brush or something because it is super annoying!!! I found these shorts in a bin at my local thrift store along with another blue denim pair. It was super exciting since they were from H&M and only fifty cents although after trying on my entire shorts collection today i seriously need to lay off the junk food or i wont be fitting into anything once the warmer weather gets here!! The high waisted shorts i wore here which i call my "skinny shorts" i cant even do up anymore and i totally could last month so going out for supper and pigging out chips is at a end for a little while. Does anyone else miss the old blogger layout? I am not much for change and it took me a little while to figure out how to work this one. Also i can't seem to size my photos like i used to so i guess they will just have to be smaller from now on. Thank you everyone for wishing me luck on my interview, you all are just to nice!! It was for a job at a golf course and i think i will be starting in the next few weeks. I also might pick up some waitressing shifts at a restaurant in town so money here i come. I hope everyone is having a good weekend :)

Shirt: Borrowed from my sister, Tank top: Value Village $6, Skirt: Stiches $8, Tights: Joe Fresh $6, Boots: Aldo $80

Oh my goodness i am so tired right now, it is definitely going to be a early night!! I wore this top with a blazer and black skinny jeans to a job interview today which went very well :). I was going to take pics of that outfit but i threw on the tights and skirt just to mix things up a bit since i have been wearing alot of pants lately. I totally love this shirt which i borrowed/stole from my sisters closet this morning. It is just soooooooooo cute i am pretty sure she got it at Winners, i am really into chiffon sheer shirts right now. I have been stalking the Forever 21 website lately and they have so many great ones but i am not allowed to place a order until i have a regualr paycheck again so hopefully in a couple of weeks. Have a good weekend everyone!!

Blazer: Warehouse One $30, Scarf: Spring $15, Tunic: Value Village $4, Purse: Thirft $4, Leather Pants: H&M $30, Doc Martens $140

Hello everyone!!! I am not totally sold on these pictures (especially my squinty first pic lol) but i figured they were better than nothing at all!! It was really cold today so i had to scrap my orginal outfit idea which i will take pictures of very shortly and wore this one. I have worn my leopard print scarf on here twice already but it is my absolute favourite sometimes i wear it almost everyday, definitely money well spent. I bought these H&M pants a while back and the second time i wore them one of the seams ripped so i stitched that up but the next time about three more ripped. I have never had a issue with the quality of H&M clothes before but i am a little peeved off how crappy these pants are. I have fixed all the seams but i am a little wary about wearing them anywhere for to long, knowing my luck the crotch seam would go and i would have a very embarrassing but funny story to share with you. I havent been up to much lately just dropping off lots of resumes trying to find a summer job so fingers crossed everyone. A while back i did a giveaway and the lovely Jessica from the Midwest Muse won my sweater so everyone check out how she wore it cause it looks awesome!! I hope you all had a good evening!!

Gold On The Ceiling by The Black Keys on Grooveshark

Photobucket
Right now as i am typing it is raining and super cold out so this post is a bit of wishful thinking, i want the warmer weather back!!!! I dont know about you but for me, my absolute favourite thing to wear all summer long are denim shorts. They might not be the most flattering with my muscular thighs but they definitely are the most comfortable. I was at my local thrift store and i found two pairs of great denim shorts (one was from H&M) and they were only fifty cents each!!!! Such a good bargain they werent high waisted though so i am going to be on the lookout for some of those. Here are some awesome inspirations pictures and i hope everyone had a good weekend!!

The Skin Of My Yellow Country Teeth

The Skin of My Yellow Country Teeth by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah on Grooveshark

Photobucket

Jacket: Thrift $4, Tank Top: Value Village $6, Jeggings: Value Village: $8, Boots: Value Village $13, Hat: Ardenes $7, Purse: ??? (super old)

Almost a entire thrifted outfit!!!!! I love when that happens and as you can tell from my outfit description i am a very faithful Value Village customer. Although you can totally see the price difference from it and the thrift store in my town which is where i got my jacket from because it is so much cheaper. If someone had told me i would be wearing a cropped jacket of any kind a year ago i would sworn up and down it wasnt going to happen. I am pretty boxy aka no waist so i never found them to be remotely flattering on me but when i was shopping with a friend i found this one and she urged me to try it on. To my surprise i really liked it so always try on things you like but are a bit unsure of because you never know how they might look on!! When i found these jeggings at Value Village i got really excited because they were black and i dont think they had ever been worn before. They fit fine in the change room but the first time i wore them out, i dont have much a bum and they sagged... alot lol. So to fix that i just ripped open one of the seams, cut the elastic smaller and stiched it back up so now they are as good as new :). I just wanted to thank everyone for your lovely comment and I hope you had a great day!!

Tunic: For Sale On Ebay, Tanktop: Value Village: $6, Leggings: Stiches $10, Boots: Aldo $80, Purse: Thrift $4, Hat: Ardenes $7

Wahoo first day off work since last wednesday i am sooooo excited!!!! I took these photos over the weekend but i just got time to edit them now. I found this red purse at my local thrift store one day after Christmas when they were having this awesome fifty percent off sale. I just love big purses and it is in great condition, sometimes i wonder why people want to giveaway such a great stuff lol. I am selling this tunic on ebay (the link is above!!) or trying to at least it is my first attempt at selling some of my clothes on there. I seriously love it and looking at these photos makes me kindof wish i hadnt decided to sell it but i am really trying to clean out my closet. It is in great condition and i have only worn it once since i bought it so if anyone wanted to check it out that would be totally awesome :). Today i am hanging out with one of the boys i work with and among other things i think we are going bowling. I havent gone in like four years so i am somewhat excited for that although i am a terrible bowler :). I hope everyone has a great day!!

Blazer: Warehouse One $30, Tunic: Wild Rose $17, Belt: Thrift $1, Leggings: Zellers $6, Boots: Value Village: $13, Purse: Wild Rose $20

Only one picture today, i took these photos on my one of my days off work last week but the sun was so bright i couldnt look at the camera. I definitely need to invest in some nice sunglasses, i sat on my favourite pair and totally killed them a few months ago. I really love this outfit i bought the tunic on my last shopping trip and it is so adorable, i dont think i can get away with wearing it by itself though since it is on the short side. These winter boots are my pride and joy i found them at Value Village for thirteen dollars!!!!! I can hardly ever find second hand shoes since i am a size ten or eleven but these babies fit perfectly and are completely lined so they are super warm in the cold weather plus as a bonus they are real leather :). I am going to the movies tonight to see The Vow has anyone seen it, is it good? I generally am not the romantic movie type (action and sci fi all the way) but my friend really wants to see it so i am hoping it will be cute!! I am off work today and tomorrow so i am going to try and catch up on reading my favourite blogs along with replying to comments. I hope everyone has a great day!!!

Jacket: Gift from my sister, Scarf: Spring $15, Shirt: Bluenotes $13, Pants: Value Village $8, Purse: Value Village $2.50, Doc Martens: Soft Moc $140, Hat: Ardenes $7

Hello everyone!!!! Yet again i must apolgize for my long blog absence, i am finding it super difficult to get pictures taken with the unpredicatable weather and work. This is basically everything i have been up to the last little while just to update you all on what i have been doing

-working ALOT lol
-i crashed our van into the ditch and ruined it so i have been completely homebound for the last few weeks :(
-obsessively reading Game of Thrones and A Clash of Kings, i literally cannot wait to get a hold of the third book
-hanging out at my friends and painting my nails pretty much every colour i can think of, so far my favourite is mint green
-listening to the newest She Wants Revenge album
-catching up on the entire second season of Pretty Little Liars (totally love their clothes)
-cleaning my entire room and throwing out eight bags of crappy clothing

And that is about it!! Nothing to to exciting thats for sure. I know this outfit is very similar to my last one but this is the kindof thing i have been wearing alot lately. I just love this purse, i cant believe i got it for $2.50 at Value Village during one of their fifty percent off days, that is such a awesome price!!! I just love the colour and the little beads, my purse collection has grown tremendously since the summer i think i have eight or nine different bags now. I got my Doc Martens a little while ago, i havent had very many opportunities to wear them anywhere but i think they just look so cool!!! What are everyones Valentines Day plans tomorrow?! My friend and i decided to do a little anti-Valentines celebration since neither of us have a significant boy in our lives (boo lol) which will involve lots of action movies (absolutely nothing romantic) and a big bottle of very cheap crappy wine :). I hope everyone had a lovely day!!

1, 2, 3, 4

Hi everyone i am so so sorry for my blog absence!!!!! i just got home from a eleven and half hour shift at the ski resort i work at and am totally pooped right now. I work a ton next week but i am going to try and get out for outfit photos on monday which is my one day off (woot woot). Last week i went on a awesome trip to visit my sister and i have tons of new stuff to show you all it is so nice to be able to afford things over ten dollars but i am still super cheap generally fifteen is my max lol. Although i did splurge and buy a pair of brand spanking new doc martens!!! i have been searching thrift stores and ebay for two years now but i have very large feet and have never been able to find my size!!! So i finally bought new ones for myself because i never buy anything remotely expensive and i have read they are excellent for walking once they have been broken in. I really love how they look especially with skinny jeans so here are some fab inspiration pics for them. I hope everyone had a great day!!

Hat: Spring $12, Leopard Print Scarf: Spring $15, Shirt: Bluenotes $6, Pants: Smart Set $12, Purse: Value Village $6, Boots: Spring $13

I never used to be much of a accessories person but they seriously can make a outfit look better by adding just a few things. This is such a casual outfit but i love how the mixed prints, bag and hat make it look more interesting. I went shopping on monday and got lots of great stuff!!!!! Value Village was having a 5%0 off sale for their Super Saver Club members which i totally recommend signing up for because i found some great things like my purse in these photos for super cheap. I cannot wait to take outfit photos of everything, i finally found my leopard print scarf at the mall which i have been looking ages for, it is AMAZING i love it so much plus it just goes with everything. I got these pants in Smart Set which kindof surprised me, i have been wanting skinny cargo pants for ages and i tried these ones on for fun since i thought they would be to small but they fit perfectly. I dont know if i really have the kindof legs which look good in pants being pear shaped and all but they are so comfortable especially on lazy days so i have been wearing pants alot more than i used to. Have a great day everyone!!

Where The Kids Are Running Free Tonight

WHERE THE KIDS ARE by Blondfire on Grooveshark

Sweater: Thrift $7, Tunic: borrowed from my sister, Belt: Thrift: $.50, Leggings: Stitches $10, Boots: Thrift $3 (oh yeah i couldnt believe that price either :))

Ohmygoodness i cant believe it has been over fifteen days since my last post!!!! I had a really wonderful holiday this year and got to see lots of my family :). This was the first year i was the legal drinking age in Ontario so my friend and i went out for New Years which resulted in some funny memories and me getting a nasty cold that is finally going away now. I also worked alot during that time although thankfully i have had the last few days off after working seven in a row. I am SO excited to get my paycheck for the last two weeks on friday, i am going to do some major shopping before i start saving all of my money for school. I did order these boots from Aldo as a little Christmas present to myself i have developed a tiny obsession with knee high boots. I borrowed this tunic from my sister when i was looking through her closet one night. I offered to buy it from her but i really cant blame her for wanting to keep it since it is totally adorable!! I hadnt taken outfit pictures in such a long time i totally forgot what to do in front of the camera which is why there are only two photos. I found this belt at my local thrift store, it is so cool it wraps around and clasps with these two gold buckles, i will have to take close up shots next time. I bought these boots back in October and completely forgot about them until now, they are kindof beat up if your look at them to closely but for three dollars they are awesome bargain!!!

I had orginially planned on drawing the winner from my giveaway on Jan. 1 so i am ten days late but (drumroll) the winner is... The Midwest Muse. Congratulations!!! I used random.org to caluculate the winner but i can't get the widget to display tonight sorry about that. I want to thank everybody for entering and i hope you all had a lovely evening!!
